Delete Your Account

How to delete your account

To delete your THE CASE account, follow these steps in the mobile app:

  • Open the app and go to the More tab
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Delete Account
  • Confirm the deletion when prompted

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting us at info@thecasebydante.de.

What happens when you delete your account

The following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Your profile information (name, email, password, profile picture)
  • Your playlists and saved favorites
  • Your watch history
  • Your shipping/billing address
  • Your push notification settings
  • Your linked social accounts (Google Sign-In)

The following data will be anonymized but retained:

  • Order history and invoices — Required by German tax law (HGB §257, 10-year retention). Your name will be removed, but the order record remains.
  • Comments you posted — Will be shown as "Gelöschter Nutzer" (Deleted User). The comment content remains as part of the community discussion.
  • Auction bids — Anonymized for auction integrity. Bid amounts remain visible without your identity.
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your data, purchases, and content associated with your account.

So löschen Sie Ihr Konto

Um Ihr THE CASE Konto zu löschen, folgen Sie diesen Schritten in der App:

  • Öffnen Sie die App und gehen Sie zum Tab Mehr
  • Tippen Sie auf Einstellungen
  • Tippen Sie auf Konto löschen
  • Bestätigen Sie die Löschung

Alternativ können Sie die Kontolöschung per E-Mail an info@thecasebydante.de anfordern.

Was passiert bei der Kontolöschung

Folgende Daten werden dauerhaft gelöscht:

  • Ihre Profilinformationen (Name, E-Mail, Passwort, Profilbild)
  • Ihre Playlists und gespeicherten Favoriten
  • Ihr Wiedergabeverlauf
  • Ihre Versand-/Rechnungsadresse
  • Ihre Push-Benachrichtigungseinstellungen
  • Ihre verknüpften Social-Media-Konten (Google-Anmeldung)

Folgende Daten werden anonymisiert, aber aufbewahrt:

  • Bestellverlauf und Rechnungen — Aufbewahrungspflicht nach deutschem Steuerrecht (HGB §257, 10 Jahre). Ihr Name wird entfernt, aber der Bestelldatensatz bleibt erhalten.
  • Ihre Kommentare — Werden als „Gelöschter Nutzer" angezeigt. Der Kommentarinhalt bleibt als Teil der Community-Diskussion erhalten.
  • Auktionsgebote — Anonymisiert zur Wahrung der Auktionsintegrität. Gebotsbeträge bleiben ohne Ihre Identität sichtbar.
Warnung: Die Kontolöschung ist dauerhaft und kann nicht rückgängig gemacht werden. Sie verlieren den Zugang zu allen Ihren Daten, Käufen und Inhalten, die mit Ihrem Konto verknüpft sind.
